Ouch! That's gotta hurt?

The axle in my Hope XC rear hub snapped half way round a night ride. I rode it 12 miles back! The wheel was wobbling a bit but it was otherwise ok! The axle was replaced promptly by Hope under warranty. Update: The replacement axle has now also snapped in exactly the same place!
