There were a lot of big travel bikes out on Saturday. The approaching foreign holidays mean shakedown rides are being had and new purchases are being made!
11 of us set out off road with Victorian Dad being billy no mates on his road bike. It was a glorious afternoon and the ride didn't justify the travel on most of the bikes present! We had a very steady pootle via Calverton, Woodborough, Lowdham, Bulcote and Gunthorpe to get to The Vol at Caythorpe.
We sat outside the pub in the sunshine joined by Victorian Dad and then Sid - also out on the road. After a pleasant hour or so we continued on back to base. The usual mad sprint with a couple of pints on board didn't even happen! Everyone was in a leisurely mood. :)
