What Glen Coe offered in technical riding and views, Skye matched in a slightly different way.
Day 4 we had ridden trail centres, and I am not going to go into them.
Day 5 was the long trek north to ride Sligachan trail on Skye. This route includes a fair bit of road, a 3 mile boggy singletrack which is hard work, a grassy rutted dh and a long off road climb followed by a boulder strewn descent.
It's the Sligachan Trail though that really stands out and unusually for mtbing and Scotland it was barely a hill.

We rode the ride clockwise so started the trail at the most stunning beach in Britain, in the sun, at the foot of the Cuilin Ridge. The cameras were doing more work than the bikes here. The track then gently climbs and descends about 10km through a glen at the foot of the cuilins. It is tech, has boulders, drops and requires total mental concentration along its length. You have to do this ride to appreciate it.
We headed for the YHA on Skye where Dave had to fight off a French schoolgirl. Adam entertained all the guests in the dining room by repeating one of Raynors subtle jokes. It was a classic.
