Margham is old school. And its hot. It climbs a lot, and decends fields and moors. Not V tech. Basically, its the worst course of the year for me.
A South African and a Kiwi, and Liam Killeen rocked up, and the sun shone to 25 degrees plus. I soaked my jersey, and had plenty of bottles of water for my head and neck.
To cut a long story short, I got 18th and paced myself slow, Liam beat me by 14 minutes!!!! and the South African thought it was cool - I am remembering a Spitting image song as I write this!
OK, so its worst result yet, but I caned my usual competition who didn;t pace themselves on the burning climbs and ranking points look good. Matt Barrett won Masters again. He's a class act with a tactical brain.
