Morzine 2010 - The rest of the week

E-mail Print

We didn't ride at all on the Monday as it poured down all day :( However on Tuesday things looked a lot better in the morning and we headed out to Switzerland. It was very muddy on the way across and the final lift up to the top of the Pointe de Mossette headed into the clouds! It was not looking good.

iGoogle Theme available

E-mail Print

There is now a Mountain Bike Rides iGoogle theme available. If you use iGoogle as your homepage in your browser you can now use this free theme which has been approved by Google. The colours are based on the styles for this site and the banner photo changes every couple of hours throughout the day.

Click here for the theme in the Google library or just choose "Change Theme" and search for "Mountain Bike" on your iGoogle homepage - it's normally the first one you get back and called "Mountain Bike Rides Theme".

Morzine 2010 - Update

E-mail Print

Its all been pretty hectic since the last report and its now the beginning of the last day! The good news is that the weather has turned. The bad news is so has Simon's ankle; he broke it on Wednesday! He did it while walking a steep section on Mont Chery and it was a bit of an event getting him off the mountain!

I'll update with more news and photos etc as soon as I have time...

Morzine 2010 - Wet so far!

E-mail Print

We're currently back in Morzine for a week of gravity assisted fun. Everyone made it down ok on Friday & Saturday. As usual a large quantity of beer was consumed on the evening of our arrival. So after sorting the bikes with sore heads on Saturday morning we headed over to Les Gets to get our eye in.

Plumz Enduro

E-mail Print

The boys from Numplumz (the fellas behind the FNSS races) are organising their first ever enduro down in Northamptonshire. The date is Sunday September 19th and the location is Chelveston, Northamptonshire.

There will be the option of two routes: 25 or 45 miles and the event is a challenge not a race. (Yeah right!) The route will be waymarked, food will be provided and its all to raise money for charity.

Sounds like a Viking Challenge type of event a bit further south?

More info is available here and online entry is available here
